2nd Year History Tour – Croke Park

December 8, 2021

Our Second Year History students spent a morning at GAA HQ this week where they got a chance to visit the GAA Museum located in Croke Park.

The students took a tour of the museum where they got the opportunity to view various historical documents, trophies and sporting artefacts relating to our National Games.

After a walk around the pitch the students took the opportunity to view the GAA Hall of Fame where they saw a familiar face they thought they had left behind in the school.

After the recent success of our Minor and Ladies’ teams the students got a real appreciation of the historic achievements of the individuals involved in these games and also in the role the GAA has played in shaping our political and cultural history.

Thanks to Mr. Coogan for organising an enjoyable trip.
