Our Junior Rugby squad overcame a strong and well drilled St Fintan’s High School Sutton side to claim a win by just 2 points on Wednesday 9th of November.
After an intense first half that saw 5 tries, the Sutton side began the second half with a 7 point lead.
The St. Pat’s boys dominated the second half with some strong forward running and two tries in quick succession to put us in the lead by 7 points.
The game was far from over when the Sutton boys scored a try with 5 minutes left in the game to bring them within 2 points. They went on the attack again, eager to clinch a win but some hard rucking and disciplined defense saw us hold our 2 point lead until the final whistle.
