Our First and Second Year Basketball teams followed in the footsteps of the U16 and U19 players and brought gold back to the school in their Regional Finals this week. This is the first time in the school’s history that all our basketball teams are regional champions in the same year. Our First Year team overcame Virginia College in their final on a scoreline of 43-15. The Second Years met Cnoc Mhuire Granard in their final and won on a scoreline of 53-18. Both teams now progress to All-Ireland Play-Offs. The results reflect the hardwork and diligence displayed by the lads since the start of the year and their positive attitude both on and off the court has resulted in them being part of a historic year for basketball in St. Pat’s.
