Clubs & Societies
As part of our holistic approach to education, St. Patrick’s Classical School offers students a variety of Clubs and Societies.
Within our school community, we identified a need to develop extra clubs to cater for students who are not involved in sports clubs. These activities supplement and complement in-school learning and provide opportunities for students to broaden their horizons in ways that would not be possible within the confines of the structured curriculum alone.

Gaisce
The Gaisce award is a challenge set directly by the President of Ireland to the young people of the country. The aim is to encourage the students to push themselves to get involved in community projects and develop personally by learning or developing a new skill and by physical recreation.
The students take part in an adventure journey where they undertake a physical challenge and go on an overnight trip. As these principles strongly mirror those of the Transition Year Programme in St Patrick’s Classical School, the bronze Gaisce award is one that we encourage students to achieve in TY. The successful completion of the Gaisce award is also counted towards end of year assessment.
