Last Wednesday saw the completion of the First Year Inter-Class League, with all three ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ finals taking place. The competition began all the way back in September with teams squaring off against each other during Monday and Friday lunchtimes on the all-weather pitch. Ably facilitated by the TY students who formed the management teams and referees, the competition captured the minds of the First Year students who were all encouraged to participate with game time guaranteed for everyone.
The ‘C’ Final was won by 1C, the ‘B’ Final by 1K and the ‘A’ Final by 1i. Former principal, and current Meath manager, Colm O’Rourke was in the school on Friday to present Ciaran Reilly of 1i with the Colm O’Rourke Perpetual Cup for 1i’s overall success in winning this year’s competition. Well done to all the boys who participated this year.
