Dear Parent/Guardian,
Students and teachers alike enjoyed a variety of activities this week to remind us all to mind our mental, physical and emotional health.
In the midst of all the Covid-19 restrictions in school and society, this was a bit of fun for all but with an important message.
Some of the activities enjoyed included, a TY Boot Camp for all 1st & 2nd Years, guided meditations for all, online workshops from two past students Cormac and Daryl Noonan of Wolf Academy. They talked about the importance of sleep, practicing gratitude, goal setting and much more.
More highlights included a very personal address to all students from Hector Ó hEochagáin & Tommy Tiernan. They shared a message of good fortitude and mental wellbeing in their usual style of good humour and warmth and they advised students to treasure their friendships.
Tuesday brought great fun and enjoyment when the whole school played Bingo led by the Bingo master, Mr Colm O Rourke, who impressed everyone with his knowledge of the Bingo lingo. Lots of prizes were won by students.
Today, Wednesday, students enjoyed a Halloween themed movie.
Well done to Mr P. Byrne and the Wellbeing Team for organising a great school event for all.
Kind regards,
School Management
