The Final of the Meath Enterprise Student Challenge took place in the Kells Tech Hub last Wednesday. 94 teams entered from schools across the county. The students involved had to do a Dragon’s Den style presentation in front of 3 judges. 1st Years Sean Hughes and Cian Healy (CS Hurls) came 2nd in the best new idea category and won 200 euro. 1st Years Patrick Gaughran and James Comaskey (Wellbeing Jersey) came 2nd in the overall category and won 300 euro. This was an incredible achievement as they were competing against Transition Year and Leaving Cert students. Leaving Cert Student Ibrahim Khan (Digital Bucks) was the overall winner in the competition and won 600 euro for himself and 600 euro for the school. Ibrahim’s Digital Agency is dealing with clients in the USA, Germany and Canada. Congratulations to Mr Gareth McMahon, their Enterprise mentor, who helped guide, advise and prepare the students meticulously for the competition.
