Minor and Junior Basketball

Our Minor (1st Year) and Junior (2nd Year) basketball teams began this year’s campaign with a home fixture against Dunshaughlin Community College followed by a trip to Drogheda to face St. Joseph’s CBS.
Our Minor Team came up short in their efforts, losing by a small margin in both games. They have worked hard in training, with the majority of players playing their first competitive game of basketball last week.
Our Junior Team have come away with two comprehensive wins, beating Dunshaughlin CC on a scoreline of 58-30 and St. Joseph’s CBS on a scoreline of 60-12. The team is being led by this year’s captain, Elliott Larkin, and have shown that their hard-work since September is now paying off. Their determination in offence was matched with a solid defence, preventing St. Joseph’s CBS from scoring in the third and fourth quarters
Both teams will now face St. Oliver’s, Drogheda in the final game of the group. This fixture will take place next week and we wish both teams well
