St. Patrick’s Classical School U19 Basketball team topped the region in a thrilling game against Cnoc Mhuire Granard securing their place in the All-Ireland Play-Offs. The team highlighted the importance of hard-work and resilience on the court having fought their way back from a 20-point deficit to draw level with Granard in the dying seconds of the game. This forced the game into 3mins of overtime during which the St. Pat’s team pushed 8 points ahead to finish the game on a scoreline of 50-42. Pictured at the presentation of the trophy is Oisín McEvoy, U19 captain, who led his teammates to a well-deserved victory in the day.
