3rd Place in The Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Awards for St.Pats.
Four projects were entered to represent our school in the Stripe Young Scientist and
Technology Awards from Wednesday 7th-Saturday – 10th January 2026.
They were:
Rohaan Bhatnagar. His project FutureDev is a patent pending innovative app that
uses prompt engineering to generate a roadmap for anything you want to learn from
coding to cooking.
Aaron Doherty’s project simulated The Impact of Atmospheric Drag on Satellite
Lifetimes for Future Space Missions
Patrick Egan, Michael Gormley and Eanna Woods entered a project called The
VisionPro Visor – is a patent pending polycarbonate helmet insert that
reduces glare, blocks debris, and offers prescription options to enhance safety,
vision, and comfort for hurlers.
Cillian Harten’s, Lucas Mc Namara’s and Sean Lahart’s Swiftblock is a patent
pending, innovative interlocking concrete block system designed to make wall
construction quicker, more efficient and stronger. A traditional builder can do a
maximum of 20 square metres per day, but with this technology 50 square metres
per day can be achieved.
Cillian Harten, Lucas Mc Namara and Sean Lahart’s Swiftblock came 3rd in technology in their category at the Stripe Young Scientist and Technology awards. Their category included 38 innovative projects that had been shortlisted from schools across Ireland. Their patent pending, innovative interlocking concrete block system is designed to make wall construction quicker, more efficient and stronger. A traditional builder can do a maximum of 5-20 square metres a day, with their technology 50 square metres can be achieved.
